Solaray evening primrose oil is obtained from the seed of the beautiful evening primrose plant and is one of the world’s most plentiful sources of GLA (gamma linolenic acid) and LA (linoleic acid). Solaray evening primrose oil is squeezed from the seed by a process known as cold pressing. No solvents have been used.
GLA is an omega-6 fatty acid found in plant oils.
The GLA in evening primrose oil is thought to help acne by reducing skin inflammation and the number of skin cells that cause lesions. It may also help the skin retain moisture. It can help improve overall skin health and treat eczema. It may help relieve PMS symptoms, can help minimize breast pain, help reduce hot flashes and high blood pressure, improve heart health, reduce nerve pain and ease bone pain.
