Cacao is best known as the main ingredient in chocolate. Cacao powder is very versatile, and many people add it to their diet when they crave a natural chocolate treat. Grown in South America, the cacao beans are fermented to enhance their rich flavour. The natural fat (cacao butter) is then removed and the remaining cacao is delicately ground to form a rich powder.
Cacao is naturally rich in magnesium and iron.
Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function and iron contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Fudgy Cacao Brownies: 1/2 cup organic unsalted butter 1 cup organic cane sugar 2 large organic eggs 1 tsp.vanilla extract 1/2 cup Navitas Organics cacao powder 1/4 cup organic all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. sea salt 1/4 tsp. baking powder Heat oven to 171 Celsius (350F). Line an 20.32x20.32-cm (8x8-inch) pan witg parchment and set aside. Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and whisk in sugar, eggs, vanilla one at a time until smooth. Stir in cacao powder, flour, salt and baking powder. Pour into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until batter is just set. Let cool and enjoy!
