CLEARSPRING ORGANIC JAPANESE KUKICHA
Clearspring Organic Kukicha loose leaf tea is grown in the luscious hills around Kyoto and Kyushu, areas known for their ideal climatic and soil conditions which produce some of the finest tea in Japan. Uniquely, it is made from the carefully selected twigs and stems of Japanese tea bushes, rather than green tea leaves which gives it a warm brown colour, mild flavour, and rich roasted aroma.
The kukicha twigs are steamed, rolled and dried before slowly being aged to develop the mild, nutty and soothing flavour for which Kukicha is celebrated. The roasting process helps to reduce the caffeine in this Kukicha, making it much lower than in coffee, black tea and green tea. It is ideal for the whole family at any time of the day, especially for those looking for a soothing, rather than stimulating drink in the evening.
